Vilhelm Hultgren joins the company from Fondtorgsnämnden (FTN, The Swedish Fund Selection Agency) where he has been working as one of the project managers since 2023. In that role he has been overseeing the procurement process – from analysing strategy and market to producing RFP material, reviewing tenders and holding final interviews.
At Tell Media Group, Vilhelm Hultgren will be responsible for structuring and sharing our research efforts via our magazine, online platform, reports as well as at Tell Media Group events and at external events.
He will also work to maintain existing relationships, and build new ones, with companies and individuals from across the full spectrum of the Nordic industry – from fund companies and service providers to institutional investors, fund selectors and family offices.

Before joining FTN in 2023 Vilhelm Hultgren worked as an investment manager, both in Sweden and in Switzerland. In Sweden he spent more than five years at Nordea as a senior investment advisor advising the banks institutional and professional clients and as a senior investment manager, maintaining and developing the non-advice investment product-offering for the bank’s clients. In Switzerland he worked as a discretionary portfolio manager for UHNWI at UBS, implementing the strategic and tactical asset allocation into individual portfolios.
Vilhelm Hultgren has a master’s degree in economics from Lund University and from HEC Lausanne. He has been selected as one of the top 40 selectors in Europe below 40 in Europe by Citywire and last year he was highlighted as fund selector of the month by RankiaPro. “I am thrilled to be able to be a part of the next steps that Tell Media Group will take and am humbled by the trust Niklas and Malin have given me.
