In the spotlight: Rikke Berg Jacobsen, AkademikerPension

I’ve always been interested in the intersection between economics and society. Early in my career, I realized that finance, and especially asset management, sits at the core when it comes to what and how the world we live in is shaped. Working with investments gave me the opportunity to combine analytical work with a clear sense of purpose.

If you didn’t work in the asset management industry, what do you think you would have done instead? I would probably still be working with sustainability in some form, probably in a private company, an impact-focused organizations or leadership development. The common thread for me is helping to drive positive change and building environments where people and systems can move in a better direction. That sense of purpose will follow me no matter the sector I work in. You recently joined AkademikerPension as Head of ESG – what attracted you to the job? AkademikerPension has a very high ambitions when
