2015 doesn’t feel that long ago, but as evidenced by this report, the Nordic asset owner landscape has changed tremendously. The Nordic landscape of 2025 is the product of a decade of deliberate evolution. What were once nascent ideas – internal management teams, alternative assets, ESG integration and risk-factor investing – have become standard practice. Nordic asset owners have proven they are able to adapt to changing conditions (from low-yield environments to inflationary shocks) while staying true to long-term objectives and stakeholder commitments.
Tell Media Group has produced Nordic Investor Insight reports, an annual look at trends among asset owners and fund selectors in the Nordics, since 2014. The reports draw on our continuous interaction with fund selectors, institutional investors and asset managers across the Nordic region. We gain insights from ongoing interviews with chief investment officers and fund selectors, from our events held across the Nordics as well as numerous other meetings and informal discussions. To support that bottom-up and more qualitative approach, we also conduct separate surveys of fund selectors, asset owners and asset management organisations on a regular basis.
