I work for… State Street Investment Management – we rebranded in July 2025 from State Street Global Advisors.
The company has been active in the Nordic region since… the mid-1990s. We cover the Nordic region from our Brussels office with regular Nordic trips.
And I have been active in the region since… the summer of 2008 but started working in London in 1998 in investment banking.
I’m currently based in… Brussels but travel very regularly to the Nordics.
Our AUM in the Nordic region is… over USD 55 billion with clients spread across the five Nordic countries. We are one of the largest international managers for institutional assets in the region offering pooled vehicles (ETFs or UCITS funds) as well as segregated mandates across different asset classes and investment styles.
My favorite hotels in the Nordic region are… hotels that convey the Nordic feel and coziness while still being very business friendly.
My favorite event venues in the Nordic region are… venues that are centrally located and easily accessible for clients.
When we arrange client meetings / presentations we prefer to hold these… on a one-to-one basis at the client venue as the most efficient for everyone.
The clearest trend among fund selectors and institutional investors in the Nordics right now… is a rethink of their allocation between internal and external management.
