HSBC Global Asset Management is expanding its Stockholm-based Nordic team with a new internal hire. Fredrik Cygnaeus, managing director for the Nordics, told FBNW that Søren Beck-Petersen, who has previously worked at the firm’s Hong Kong office as head of distribution of private banks in Asia, will be joining the – currently three-man-strong – team later this week as head of Nordic wholesale and retail distribution.
In addition to Fredrik Cygnaeus, the Nordic sales team currently consists of Eric S Zwickel, supporting institutional clients and Jonas Sindahl, who works with compliance. The team shares the office with HSBC’s 12-people strong global and commercial banking team. Fredrik Cygnaeus said the asset management arm has been looking at expanding its Nordic team and the transfer of Søren Beck-Petersen “was a perfect timing and fit to our team”.
