Robeco expands its EMD platform with new hires

Robeco recently announced that it has poached Candriam’s emerging market debt team and will be launching new strategies for hard currency and local currency sovereign debt.

The new hires and an expanded range of emerging market debt strategies is welcome news according to Stefan Laszlo, head of Nordic sales, who has seen demand for EMD from a wide range of Nordic investors.

“Expanding in EMD is a logical step for Robeco as it combines two of our key strengths: investing in emerging markets and our expertise in fixed income. Nordic clients have shown strong demand for EMD over the years, either with domestic managers or with international managers. I’m excited that our clients get access to this asset class via our broader fixed income platform,” he says.
